THE ARTIST
Víctor Collcardenas
Víctor Collcardenas creates expressive, personal paintings in which urban landscapes, color and the human figure come together, transforming everyday scenes into experiences filled with emotion.
His visual language draws on German Expressionism and the sensitivity to color of Vincent van Gogh and Henri Matisse, reinterpreted through his own perspective.
Born in Lima, he studied at the Faculty of Art of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and later at the Central University of Barcelona. His artistic practice spans Peru and Spain.
